Anxiety, much like depression, is one of the top mental health issues people experience. Many describe it as intense or constant worry, feeling fearful, and/or feeling highly overwhelmed. This can contribute to many physical symptoms such as heart racing, shortness of breath, body pains, headaches, sleep disturbances, and stomach issues.
If anxiety interferes with you at work, school, or at home; therapy can help. If it is left untreated you can experience it for years and years making life harder than it has to be on you and those close to you.
At Innovative Direction we use different types of behavior techniques such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to help treat feelings and the issues related to anxiety. Your therapist will also help you recognize triggers involved with being anxious and help you problem solve any stresses you may have in your life.
Even though this is one of the most common issues, it is highly treatable with therapy.
